I started The Tarot Method because it seemed to me that the prevalent cultural assumptions around tarot were keeping a lot of people from engaging with this multi-dimensional and powerful tool. I came across a lot of people who actually seemed interested in what the cards had to offer them, but they felt excluded from the practice or like they wouldn’t be ‘allowed’ to use tarot because they didn’t fit a particular type.

It is my mission to demonstrate that tarot, like meditation and yoga, can be used by anyone who wishes to experience its positive benefits — and you don’t need to wear a special hat to do so!
Very often, people prevent themselves from experimenting with tarot because of assumptions about its ‘powers’ or the logical mind shames them for wanting to play with something that ‘can’t possibly be real’. This usually stems from a more limited idea of what tarot is: something goofy, or airy-fairy, or esoteric and inaccessible.
Another problematic assumption is that tarot is strictly used for fortune-telling, and those of us who are more logically minded are likely to reject anything that claims to see the future. Therefore, if we have been led to believe that this is all tarot is, we probably won’t spend enough time with this tool to experience its depth firsthand and come to the understanding that it is so, so, so much more.
We are slowly building our catalogue of workshops, courses and events, so keep an eye on this page for updates. In the meantime, check out The Tarot Method on Meetup where we are hosting regular online sessions for tarot beginners, explorers, enthusiasts, and beyond!
Please get in touch (info@thetarotmethod.com) if there are any specific courses or events you would like to see in the future.
